The printing system that I use is the Epson Stylus Photo R2880 printer with the Epson UltraChrome K3™ with Vivid Magenta ink system. Prints have a permanence rating of up to 200 years when displayed under glass and out of direct sunlight and depending on the type of print media. This printer offers an astounding colour gamut for brilliant reds, blues and purples and can produce prints up to 13×19 inches or 13×44 inches long border free.
For my prints however, I prefer prints with a white border for handling purposes and the ease of matting the final print to make sure details at the very edge of the image are still visible after matting. Some images I produce have details right to the very edge and the photographic print would then loose some of its compositional value if covered by the matte.
Also you will notice that most of the images offered are proportional to the original dimensions of the image as composed in the viewfinder, or post-processing cropping. You won’t see some of the “standard” sizes like 5×7 or 8×10 because it crops too much of the original shot. To get standard sizes you would need to crop about 2 inches off one end to fit the standard dimensions and that is, in my mind, unacceptable on most of my images. There are however, some images that are cropped and will work for standard sizing.
See below for the print sizes and pricing. If you don’t see a size available contact me for pricing information. I sign all prints, and any copyright notices and/or watermarks that appear on the gallery images do not appear on the prints that are sold. If for any reason you do not want me to sign a print, you can ask me when you place your order.
Fine Art note cards
Any image from the gallery can be transferred onto a fine art note card. The cards are printed on 100% cotton Fine Art Hahnemühle PhotoRag paper. The images print beautifully on this lightly textured stock that not only looks elegant, but also feels great in your hand. The note card size is 4.25 x 5.50 inches (letter size paper cut in half and folded) and blank inside for your own personal message and shipped inside clear plastic sleeves with matching envelopes.
Fine Art Paper and Canvas
Fine art images and photographs from the gallery can also be either printed on 100% cotton Hahnemühle PhotoRag or Museum Etching paper. Images can also be printed on matte finish canvas. The rag paper is sprayed with Hahnemühle’s protective spray virtually protecting it from harmful UV rays and moisture. It almost doubles the life of the print. The canvas prints are protected with an aqueous based protective coating by PremierArt that is rolled onto the print. At least three coats are applied to make sure the print and canvas is protected. See below for prices.
Panoramic pricing will depend on how wide and long the image is printed. Panoramic images will be printed on archival Epson paper. Please contact me for pricing and size information for panoramic images that are in the gallery.
